From 1 piece to 4 containers
It’s a case of school backpack for girls and boys. Mr. Giraldo wanted to invest his business on backpack so we began the business from the sample order, 1 piece of each color. The feedback from the market was very positive, all samples was sold out in a short time. Mr. Giraldo came back with many samples to place the trial order at the MOQ. I worked out all specification of his samples and followed the order closely to make sure every detail as his requirement. I checked the designs carefully and offered suitable idea of color combination. I checked all PP (prepare product) samples to confirm all details as we ordered and the quality was as good as we expected. Finally, the production was delivered on time.”I sold out everything just in one week!” Mr. Giraldo was very excited to share the good news to me. From that time the order became to be 1 container and one year later it was 4 containers!
Patience and concentration on all order details, I helped the client’s dream coming true!
Cancel or Repeat
One day, one of my client Juan contacted me to cancel one USD 50,000 order. It was a copper ring with real gold plating order. He complained to me that the last order quality was “poor”.So he wanted to cancel the producing order even it would be sold very well. He worried about the future business when he compared the product with the other brand.I realized that he didn’t set up any quality standard before placed the order. So the order was confirmed based on the sample quality. There was no reason to cancel it for this reason.
I told the supplier why the client wanted to cancel the order, his fear and his willing. During our communication I found they can produce as good quality as the other brand. Therefor, I suggested to re-quote the order based on the high quality standard and take samples from the mass production to do quality test in a testing lab. Juan accepted my suggestion. Now, Juan repeats order 2 or 3 times each year from this supplier.
Face the problem and find out a resolution, the problem maybe come to be a good chance!
